A sharp midweek fall erased the gains; the weekend rebound left a gap
BTC rose early in the week, then fell and recovered part of the loss. It still ended 2.25% below its opening price. The key change for next week is that heavy selling on Thursday and Friday erased three days of gains, while five-day ETF flows reached an unusually weak level. The weekend rise had much less support from trading volume or broader capital flows. Our view for next week is range-bound: watch whether a brief price recovery develops into sustained buying rather than treating one bounce as the end of the decline.
The week opened at 80,114.30 USDT. BTC climbed through the first three days to close Wednesday at 81,308.80 USDT. It reached 81,953.70 USDT on Thursday, but closed that day at 77,962.60 USDT. Friday's low was 76,270.00 USDT. The following two days recovered part of the loss, with a final close of 78,313.00 USDT. The price chart shows the reversal within one week: several days of gains were undone mainly on Thursday and Friday, and the final rebound still left BTC below its opening price. Next week's assessment therefore cannot rest on the last day's gain alone.

Thursday and Friday recorded 253,736 BTC and 241,631 BTC of trading, the week's busiest sessions. Each weekend day saw roughly 50,000 BTC. Total weekly volume was 951,253 BTC, below the historical mean of 1,207,975 BTC across 104 comparable weeks. The combination of heavy trading on the decline and thin trading on the rebound suggests that buyers appeared at lower prices, but participation has yet to confirm a durable recovery. Low volume for the week as a whole does not erase the midweek selling pressure.
ETF flows were unusually weak, leaving the recovery short of broad support
ETFs saw net outflows of 9.56亿美元 over the latest five days, versus a historical mean net inflow of 3.23亿美元. On a comparable measure of flow strength, only about 2 of 104 comparable weeks were as weak or weaker. This is the capital-flow change that matters most this week. It moved in the same direction as the midweek price decline, although a five-day aggregate cannot explain every trade on any given day. If BTC keeps rebounding next week while this flow measure remains weak, other buyers will have to sustain the move.
Stablecoin supply fell 0.93% over seven days; only about 3 of 104 comparable weeks were as weak or weaker. Its 30-day growth rate was also negative, at 2.33% below zero. Supply changes are slow-moving background evidence, not proof that money must leave BTC. Together with the ETF outflows, they offer little sign of broader capital support for the weekend bounce. If both remain weak, a recovery on thin trading is unlikely to overturn the range-bound base case.
Short-term strength is a counterpoint, but the daily picture remains weak
The counterpoint deserves attention. The latest five-minute strength reading was 73.68; only about 3 of 104 comparable weeks were higher. The short-term moving-average gap was positive, and the latest change in aggressive buying minus aggressive selling turned positive at 23 BTC. Buyers were present after the fall, so weak capital flows alone do not imply that BTC must fall next week. Yet the five-minute measure reacts quickly, whereas Friday's daily strength reading was still 35.43. These measures describe different time scales: the short-term recovery has not established a reversal in the broader trend.

The chart of aggressive buying minus aggressive selling gives a similar caution. Its latest change is positive, showing that active buying recovered near the lows. This rules out the idea that buyers were entirely absent, but it does not undo the heavy midweek decline. The composite signal is mildly positive and consistent with the brief price recovery. Price, volume and capital flows remain divided, so the outlook for next week stays range-bound.

Next week, look for a rebound that holds with stronger participation
First, watch whether BTC can regain the week's opening level near 80,114.30 USDT while volume recovers and aggressive buying remains ahead of selling. If all three occur and ETF outflows ease, the range-bound view needs reassessment. Conversely, another break below the week's low of 76,270.00 USDT accompanied by renewed heavy selling would undermine the weekend recovery. These price levels are observation points, not preset trading targets.
